for Weddings in Connecticut
Encore Music Creations offers professional musical services for weddings and ceremonies, in churches or other locations, in- or outdoors. Our organists/pianists, Brett Judson and Lars Gjerde, have extensive experience as church musicians in a variety of denominations and musical environments. They are also experienced pianists in popular and jazz styles. Our tenor, Scott Perkins, has international experience as a soloist in a variety of styles. You may click below on this page to hear his voice. He is a prizewinning composer and can be hired to arrange special music. We can also contract other musicians to perform with us.
Our wedding organist/pianist fee of $300 includes the following music by one of our organists/pianists:
-10 minutes of prelude music from our standard selections for organ or piano
-accompaniments for hymns and liturgical music during the service
-recessional music from our standard selections for organ or piano
Special requests beyond our standard selections are available at extra cost, including expenses for securing legal copies of necessary music scores. The standard fee does not include rehearsals with soloists provided by families. Accompaniment for soloists may be provided for an additional fee of $50, which includes up to 30 minutes of rehearsal. Transportation costs for travel
beyond 30 minutes from downtown New Haven, CT, will be added to the standard fee. There is an extra fee of $100 if you want the musician to attend the wedding rehearsal. We can also bring our own keyboard, for $200.
Our professional tenor is available as a soloist, with or without one of our accompanists. His fee of $200 includes two standard vocal selections and singing of service music. Payment is due at the time of the service, in the form of a check made out to “Encore Music Creations.”
